The Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace supports the social and economic development of the people of Asian, African and Latin American countries, often called the Third World.  It does this by giving financial assistance to projects and programs that will improve the quality of life of the community and benefit its poorest members.

Development and Peace also invites Canadians to take an active role in dealing with poverty and the causes of underdevelopment in the world and to become personally involved in the development of peoples.  We need contacts in every parish. Call us if you can help.

Volunteer International Christian Service is a lay program sponsored by the Spiritans (Holy Ghost Fathers), providing professional and technical personnel the opportunity to work alongside the peoples of developing countries.  Men and women 21-65 years of age, single or married, volunteer for two years of service overseas, to aid the struggle to conquer disease, ignorance and social injustice.
