Canadian Organization for Life and Family

Cover of new magazineAt a time when all the baptized are called to actively engage in the new evangelization, the Catholic Organization for Life and Family offers an enthusiastic look at vocations in its 2011 Message to families, entitled “Families, did you know? Love is calling your children”.
Unique and irreplaceable, every child conceived in the womb is called by God to a unique mission. It is in the family, first, that boys and girls learn to know and to trust Him, as they discern their call to love, and, in imitation of Jesus’ self‐giving love, to give themselves in marriage, the priesthood, consecrated life or apostolic celibacy.

COLF hopes this new publication will support parents, teachers, pastors and catechists in their important work of education. May it help them to challen. View and download this new publication.

A Message From the Diocesan Coordinator of Vocations:

Vocations 2011My name is Myron Rogal and I currently serve in the position of coordinating vocational efforts for the Diocese of Saskatoon. Born and raised in Saskatoon and having served ministry for several years God continues to reveal himself and surprise me as the culture of Vocations continues to grow in our Church.

I invite each of you take seriously your responsibly of building a culture of vocations through personal discernment, and calling forth as well as affirming God’s call in our sisters and brothers in Christ. In a spirit of hospitality I extend an invitation for each of you to contact me, or stop in for a visit to discuss any questions, concerns, and to share the good vocation news that continues to come alive in our midst!
Shalom, Myron Rogal

The Saskatoon Vocation Team is designed to promote vocation awareness and discernment for young men and women open to God's call to priesthood or religious life. Workshops, talks, seminars and prayer gatherings are available.

Prayer For Vocations:

Heavenly Father,
bless your Church
with an abundance of
holy and zealous priests,
deacons, brothers and sisters.
Give those you have called to the married state
And those you have chosen to live as single persons
in the world, the special graces that their lives require.
Form us all in the likeness of your son so that in him,
with him and through him we may love you more deeply
and serve you more faithfully always and everywhere.

With Mary we ask this
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
