October 14th - DIG into Prayer @ St. Anne's Parish (7-11PM) - A night to learn and practice the different prayer types so we can better be attuned to God's voice and be in relationship with him. Followed by one crazy gym night! 

Oct 15th & November 7th: The Diocesan Youth Retreat Team is Looking for new members and you can join or renew your commitment by coming to one of these sessions!  Current team members are asked to attend one of these each year and new members are more than welcome!   Each session begins with a meal and social time followed by an interactive training module to assist you in preparing and updating your skill set for the upcoming retreat season.  DYRT is open to all youth and young adults aged 14+ this is a wonderful opportunity to use your gifts to serve others your age and get to know the great youth and young adults on the team.  If you are interested in applying for this volunteer commitment please contact Myron at 242-1500. Brittney Whyte is the pastoral associate at St. Albert Catholic Parish. Her passions lie in street level ministry and social justice. She has coordinated large scale projects in Guatemala and in the inner city in Edmonton. She also works part time counselling high risk youth. Her goal is to "Give people back to themselves while meeting Christ in the process.

On Saturday March 19th we are heading to Table Mountain to go tubing, skiing or snowboarding down the hill.  We will be meeting at St. Michaels at 10:30am and heading out shortly after.  We hope to arrive at Table Mountain at around 12:45.  We will be on the hill from 1—4pm which is a half day.  For those of you who wish to ski or snowboard, feel free to do so, though you are not allowed to bring your own skies or boards for lack of space (ski or snowboard boots are allowed).  We should arrive back at St. Michaels around 7pm (roughly).  The cost is $5 per person to help cover the cost of gas; however you are responsible for paying your way into the facility and any rentals you may require (see below for prices). On the way home we will be stopping in North Battleford for supper.  So bring a few extra bucks for supper and any snacks you may want.  

The registration dead line is midnight, March 16^th, so please call Matthew at 382 – 5503, Colm at 242 – 1500 or your youth minster if you plan on attending so we can make sure we have enough dirvers. You will also need a permission form which can be downloaded here or they can be picked up from your youth minister.  If you don’t hand in your permission form and $5 by 10:30am on Saturday March 19th we are afraid we cannot let you come (legal stuff, blah, blah). Prices Half Day: Tubing $8, Skiing Lift Pass: under 15 $17 over $23 (rentals: $13 for everything), Snowboard: under 15 $17 over $23 (rentals: $21 for everything).  For an addition $4 you can also get a tubing pass added to any ski lift ticket.
